Description of work/assignment:
The assignment was to design and draw a logo made up of my name that including
the angles and lines we learned about. The project required color coding and a key to
show the specific parts of the logo.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
I feel this assignment addresses the Self-Directional Skill the most out of the eight 21st
Century Skills. This is because we needed to design the logo and incorporate all the needed
elements without a group or teacher instruction.
What are you most proud of from this assignment and why?
The thing I am most proud of from this assignment the precision and neatness. That
was important for this project because we needed straight lines and angles to get the full points.
How did you improve upon or develop your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
I improved upon the Self-Directional Skill with this geometry assignment by managing my time
wisely and using my own materials. I needed to use my time wisely because even though we
were given time in class to work, I also needed to do some of it at home.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult thing about completing this task was trying to get incorporate all the
requirements into the logo because there wasn't much space on the paper. I ended up doing
two of these because I ran out of space in the first one.
How can you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently?
I can improve this work by making it a bit bigger, because it was pretty small.
How does this relate from what you learned in the past?
This relates from what I learned in the past about geometry. I got to show my knowledge about lines,
line segments, types of angles, planes and points.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to future learning by developing my Self-Directional Skill for different projects.
